The stuck elevator

Scott walked with his hands dug in his pockets down the huge mal. His head was held low and he had no interest in anything besides getting away from the crowd. The buzzing of the electricity comforted him in a way and he sighed. He entered the Elevator and hit the parking lot button.

Glancing up he saw a beautiful girl just squeeze through the doors. He smiled as she toke her place next to him then his eyes followed up to the digital numbers as they flashed by. He prayed the girl was not cluster phobic but if she was it would not matter much. He would be there...

He smirked. The lights dimmed slightly then flickered. The Elevator came to a halt and darkness enveloped the two. "OH d**n...." He said in alarm then the backup lights flickered on. Of course this was his doing. He glanced at the help button making sure all the electrics were cut except for the back up breaks. He turned to the girl. "Are you okay?" He touched her arm gently.

Jenna smiled politely to the guy in the elevator as she took her place by his side, looking over him out of the corner of her eye, wondering if he was a mutant, or atleast mutant friendly.
"sh*t!" She said as the lights flickered, fearful she might get stuck in the elevator with a terrible person. "That's what I get for applying to a job in the mall..." She said to herself as she tried pushing the buttons to the floors uselessly. She let out a sigh, atleast he seemed friendly enough.
"Yeah I'm fine." She half grumbled to the guy with a bit of annoyance in her voice. Of course not at him, she just had a bad day of job searching, alot of no's and her friend never showed up like she'd promised. She then felt the hand on her arm and looked up with a smile. "Thanks." She said, already sounding in a better mood.
