After the Alcatraz massacre, each side of the conflict began the slow but steady rebuilding process, though none are convinced the quiet the followed that its wake will last. Nerves are at breaking point.
The Brotherhood stew in their losses, discontent breeding more discontent as the untrusting and disloyal pour in. Their numbers severely diminished and without Magneto, they take in all that they can get eagerly...waiting for the change that brews in the air to finally come to pass.
The X-Men, shattered by their losses, attempt to put it past them and focus on the things ahead. They grow increasingly distant without the guidance of Professor Xavier, and the vigor with which they once upheld his ideology with is dwindling fast. They feel the change coming, and are unable to do anything in their disjointed grief to prepare themselves.
The humans do as they have before - they watch and they wait, knowing that the mutant problem is only getting progressively worse. Something is happening, while the opposing mutant factions remain quiet, and they know it's only a matter of time before the impending catastrophe trickles down to them. Some are preparing a retaliation against the mutants; some look to them for a hint, a clue...others merely wait with grim inevitability.
A new age is coming...
This is a forum-based X-Men roleplay, taking place just after the third movie. It's a relatively new game, with only a handful of members insofar and many canon roles still available. The lists of the most wanted and the taken/unavailable are below. Original characters are allowed. We're on the precipice of the first major plot movement and need more places filled!
